would give it 5 stars if the center band were of better quality. They strip so easily. All said it is a popular pen
The fancy kit feels very solid and well made parts. I used the toxic green pen blank crooked mill sells and I think mine turned out better than the one pictured.

Now that I have assembled a few of these they've become my go to cigar pen kit. Quality components in a not too fancy style but far from boring. I prefer the gun metal version, it highlights the details and looks good on light woods although more impressive on the darker varieties. Priced on par with the standard cigar pen kits out there this one stands out for taking the style a cut above. Highly recommended kit.
